Inline 4, air cooled. This is actually my first 4 cylinder. My previous 7 bikes were twins (mostly 750s), and I always envied my inline 4 buddies. Whenever I rode their bikes, I was astounded at the lack of vibration (and the extra horsepower was nice too).

Currently a liquid cooled 599cc inline 4.

Learned on an aircooled 649cc one thumper.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Presently, air cooled inline 4.

Very partial to parallel twins, especially BSA and Norton.
