You can add to your list:
Gaskets/seals for all the places where it's leaking fluids
Carb rebuild kit
Spark plugs (it'll run a lot better)
Save a few bucks by using regular auto 10w40 auto oil instead of motorcycle specific.

if you leave the petcock in Prime, you will fill your carbs with fuel, then your airbox and cylinders. If you fill the cylinders with fuel, then it is likely that it will leak down into the crankcase and contaminate your oil, in which case you will need to do a complete oil/filter change.

Also if you fill the cylinders w/ fuel, you will cause hydrolock when you try to crank the bike.

basically, Hydrolock = Total Engine Failure
