BMW gets it right!

It took me a while to warm up to this bike but DAMN I think I wanna own one. 120 h.p. and reasonably light as well. Too bad about the price however(I'm assuming it's the usual Beemer-gouge....)

Not my cup of tea, but it is MUCH easier on the eyes than the other new Beemers.

mmmm....me likes
definetely a pretty bike. The styling seems minimalist comparted to older models, which is a good thing imo.

even BMW is lapping up the cafe influence these days...

I'm still not sure if I'm board with the body work on the top 1/2 and no body work on the bottom half. It looks like the bike was supposed to have a full set of body work and they just sliced off the bottom 1/2.

I dunno. I grew tired of the shrink-wrapped look a long time ago. I gotta see the engine....

See I like all of those better than the BMW. The Suzuki has the painted frame to tie the bottom 1/2 to the top, the Laverda has the tail section that angles downward toward the engine, and the Kawai has that chin spoiler. Maybe that's what the R1200S needs, a chin spoiler.

However maybe a different paint scheme on the R would win me over. I love the look of this R1100S but I never really cared for any of the other paint schemes.

I guess it's the power coated wheels on this one that tie's it together for me. The wheels and the under seat exhaust on BMW are quite hot though.

I have to agree the bottem end definately looks unfinished.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I like the bottom-end styling(or lack of). If it had tubular bars and the fairing was up higher...... it would be super-awesome.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
