Harley-Davidson sportbike

#1 Unread post by bamgsxr13 »

No I'm not talking about a Buell but a real Harley Davidson Sportbike. I hear from some people in the motorcycle world that Harley is testing a full faring sportbike, 1000cc twin. No real specs out on this yet, but it will be very up to par with the japanese. sportbikes. If you have anymore news about this please let me know I would love to hear about it. 8)

It's gotta be a Buell with a VR1000 superbike engine (the same engine that served as a basis for the V-Rod engine). Where was this 10 years ago??????

To my understanding it an all new eng. built by some one how has been around motorcycles for a long time! The bike may or may not come out under the Harley(maybe Buell) name but we'll have to wait and see. If I understand the guys people I over head talking about it its still in testing and not even sure if it will ever make it to the show room!

Is HD saying this? Cause if HD is saying this, it must be true.

Cause, you know, HD never over-hypes its products, right?

The Sportster was the original sportsbike (or the XR750 -or what ever the first size was). The ones the showed in Any Sunday. Mert Lawill and some other designer yahoo are making revisits to the days when the Sportster was sporty. The Harley "chick bike" is my favorite. If I was to own a Harley it would likely be on of these.

But in true sportsbike, I've not seen a Harley yet. Only the Buells.
