BOOM
EDIT: This was all an April Fools Day joke. The bike is fine, I am fine, we're all okay.
Sorry to anyone who got mad. Sorry if you got overly worried.
So, I think I'm not going to be biking again for a while. I was out with my friends heading down the highway when a deer popped out in front of us. The two guys in front of me, Russ and Gord managed to swerve then stop. I had to avoid both them and the deer and ended up in the ditch. I think the bikes a write off now. Front forks are twisted pretty bad, and the frame is so bent the tire won't even turn. I'm really shaken up right now, but pretty much okay. Big patch of skin missing on my right leg and elbow, and my ears are sort of ringing.
Waiting to get towed was the worst part. Punk "O Ring" kids feel the need to yell "poo poo" at the hurt guy waiting on the side of the road. We did have a couple of people offer to stop and help. But there wasn't much they could do. We spent a fair bit of time trying to keep them moving. As we didn't want to see another accident.
What am I going to do now? I didn't get comprehensive coverage, guess I'll part it, some of the stuff is still okay, muffler, anything on the right side seems to have survived. Save up this summer and get a bike for next year... I guess. Sigh, and it was so nice out today to.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Sorry to hear of your crash... that really sucks. Deer are one of my biggest fears, because you just can't predict where they'll be or what they'll do. Almost hit one myself last fall.
Heal up, and try not to be too down. Maybe an inexpensive bike will turn up that will get you riding sooner than you think.
Take care

Hey Dude...
Man, I'm sorry to hear that. Glad your ok and all that, but it sucks about the bike. Frames and frontends are not cheap to replace, but you might want to check out the local wreckers and have a look at e-bay just for shitsngiggles. You might get lucky and find what you need on another write-off.... but not if you have the kind of luck I do.
You need to take a spin around a few blocks on one of your buddies bikes, right away. You will feel better about the whole deal afterwards, honest.
Hang in the Buddy.... life ain't fair, but where would we be without it?

Aww, Sev... that's what we used to call a bummer. Well, you've got your Red Badge of Courage now, like many of us. I'm with BuzZz... the best way to shake this off is to mount up and ride as soon as you can.
We're all pullin' for ya'... just keep on gettin' up!

Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

Sorry to hear about your crash.
However, any crash that you walk away from is a good one!
Only thing I can tell you is to try it again, don't let this get the better of you. Check the bike out good, bent fork tubes really make a bike look bad and the tubes aren't that expensive. Give her a good checking out , who knows , you might have her up and running in a week or 2. Glad you didn't get hurt cept for the road rash. Good luck on getting back on the road.

Live it like you mean it, this ain't no dress rehearsal!

Sorry to hear that. I almost hit one last september, too. Pretty unavoidable sometimes. Maybe you can go do some testrides in the meantime, but I hope you can get some parts and get back on the road. Glad you're not seriously injured.
Ride safe...God bless!

Guess I should put that April Fools in now...
It's no fun if you find out right away.
PS, please don't ban me.
