I Just Fell In Love (Yamaha MT-0S)

#1 Unread post by Sev »

This puppy showed up at the Japan motorsports show as another concept bike. Based on the MT-01 torque machine that was shown as last years concept bike and is now in production.

It's got a better silhouette, a sweet quarter fairing and it just looks damn mean. 111lb.-ft of torque at 3750 rpms, just ooooo.

Open offer to anyone who buys me one... whatever you want.

I want one of these soooo bad.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I've seen a few pics of this bike lately, not as good as these though, and what I don't get is...... why don't I like this bike more than I do? Based on my past tastes and prefrences, I should love this thing. But somehow, it just loses me someplace along the way.

The exhausts look like craap to me, I think I got lookatmycleverass-designer exhaust burnout or something...... and the LED headlight doesn't work for me....

Put a set of normal looking cans on it, re-shape the headlight, take 3 or 4 inches off that swingarm and hang a set of Renthals on it. Then we're talkin'.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

I kinda like it. Not too keen on the exposed chain and, like Buzz said, those exhaust cans look weird, but I like the overall look of the bike. This is what Buell's should look like.

I could park that outside my local News Cafe'. Looks like it would scratch like a TL 1000
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

i may have seen something somewhere when i was suffering from a mental breakdown that looked this bad but i cant really remember.
that exposed chain would be great if you went down and your leg was under it.be good for slinging water everywhere on a rainy day.

Eric Buell would be very proud.
I actually like it alot more than the MT-01......and I think the headlight is the best part  I don't think that TL1000 have to be worried however. There will be a big difference in performance....

Admittedly I don't much care for the headlight either, but considering how much it will cost swapping the headlight for a regular bulb doesn't seem like it would cost THAT much more :D

And I like the funky cans, not all of them need to look exactly the same. Guess I'll just have to either not go down, or go down on the left side so I don't mangle myself on the chain. Then again it's still a concept bike, so I'm sure that'll get covered up at some point.

Yawn. Looks like an exercise by a first-year engineering student.

I agree with buzZz, put some renthals and shorten the swingarm, and it could be a beutiful wheelie monster hooligan machine.

I like it, definiately looks like a buell. The solo's cool and I like the cans, I think it would actually look better with them undernieth though... as if they would fit. LEDs don't have a wide enough spectrum to be legal so there's no worry about that being on a production bike.
