Just a curious little bit of information.
Assuming the bike+rider weighs about 250kg, and hit the car going at 250km/h, the energy of the collision is in excess of 600 000 joule. When you fire a handgun, the energy initially is around ~500J (and is much, much less, after it travels through air).
..And this is only, if the car was still, which it probably wasn't.
