Your Bike & Why You Love It

It was the bike that broke my new bike fever for a record 9 seasons and counting.

You know you got it right when that happens.

The Warrior is my 5th bike and my 2nd cruiser. I love everything about this bike. The lines are perfect and the sound is incredible. Whenever I park at a bike hangout, everyone comes over and checks out the Warrior. While I'm riding I get thumbs up from cagers all the time. The 1700cc motor has tons of torque that rip your arms out of the socket and plenty of HP to get up to 135mph in no time. The handling is like nothing you ever experienced in a cruiser. I out lean some guys on sport bikes when they challenge me. I can scrape my frame,pegs,pipes,etc and the bike still has more to go. I can't say that there would be nothing that I would change cause I've changed the bars,seat, and add forward controls for comfort. I can truly say there is not another bike out there that I would take over this bike.

Let's see...I have an '04 Kawasaki Mean Streak in Candy Thunder Blue. What I like most about this bike is its versatility. First off, for a cruiser it's awesome in the twisties...not Yamaha R6 awesome, but much quicker than you might imagine. Secondly it's hella comfortable. As some of you know I did a three day trip to the Dragon over the summer (1019 miles total) and I wasn't sore one bit. Third, for a steel-framed chrome cruiser she has some pretty serious get-up-and-go, most of which is available right from idle. And all that power finds its way to the ground via a silky smooth shifter free from all the clanks and clunks that plague a certain American brand I won't mention here. Finally, after carrying me around in perfect comfort for hours on end, scraping pegs and passing cages all the while, I can wipe her down with some Dri Wash 'N' Guard and let her pretty it up with the best of 'em.

Yup, though I'd still like to park an FJR 1300 or GoldWing next to her, for now she does everything I ask her to. And when you consider the $10,999.00 price tag, it's really hard to beat this bike.

I have Owned a 2005 FZ! Yamaha for 6 months now, is by far and away the best bike i have ever owned.

It has a gret balance of power, handling, carrying ability, it carries the comfort of a tourer with the power of a sports bike i hve hit speeds of 270km/per hr, but on the other hand it carries my other half and myself on holidays plus gear with no trouble at all and the best bit is that it costs me bugger all to run

2002 Buell Blast.

Its a small bike, so its easy to get around with. The best feature I like about this bike is the gas mileage...you just cant beat 70mpg! I love that, especially after having driven around a gas guzzling SUV for so long.

I dont like the seat too much, and its SO small that I feel cramped up on it. Its not fast, which isnt important to me, but its too loud with its aftermarket pipe. To the thread starter, my NEXT bike will be a Honda 599...in black most likely unless I can find a used one in red. I did research on it on the internet, and when I sat on one at the Honda dealer I fell in love with it. It really is a slick bike!

For me, it's all about the "O Ring". The R6, in my most humble opinion, has the sexiest "O Ring" of any bike.

SV Thou - love it to bits.

I just love that big bore V-twin torque that is available everywhere in the rev range and in any gear, from the moment I kick up the stand right through to top whack.

I love the way she looks, especially with the full fairing.

I've got to say also that I love the way she sounds, especially with my new Beowulf cans.

She's not the greatest handling bike in the world, but she's not bad and I love the feeling of solidity she has.

If I'd change anything, it would be the seating. She's fine until I want to slide back and tuck in. At that point the nature of the discomfort becomes unique in my experience.

Ever ridden a bike and just knew. If you have to ask, you don't understand.

The technology of the bike is a turn on, the semi integral ABS, the funny suspension, heated grips, sealed shaft, engine management system and on and on.

The bike fits, the ergo's are just right for me and The Goose and the fact this this is a sport bike with touring capability makes it perfect for the kind of riding I like to do.

OK OK I'll admit it. I LIKE THE POWER.

This bike has the most awsome roll on, it pulls from anywhere and although it is heavy I like to muscle it around the twisties. The stock exhaust sounds great in the upper rev range, it screams, but is too quiet lower down. Noting else I can fault it on.

One other thing though. It really turns The Goose on too.

Just an all around good bike that is ageless. 31 years from now, my son will think the same (I'll be dead and buried by then). Enough said.
