I guess replacing the chrome with nonchrome parts is the price to pay for winter riding. Then again, my bike has no chrome and I just keep a good layer of WD-40 on her. Spray her down once a month and put a new layer on. Seems to work alright.

I've heard that good ol car wax is a good way to protect chrome from rusting.

I live in Albuquerque, I have rode my bike every day this winter, except for twice. It was just plain too windy for my little SV650. Other than that, I keep racking up the winter miles.

G'day all

And Happy New Year

I agree with CentralOzzie, it is nice here on the Gold Coast. Forecast is 31c (about 90f) GREAT RIDING weather :mrgrren. And we get to ride all year.

Even when I lived in Canberrra (national capital) the temps got down to -5c some nights, is was still great to ride.

Ride safe
