Swapping old gsxr rear for new

I want to swap my old gsxr rear for new a new one. does anyone know if the frames are the same underneath. make the bike look slimmer at the rear. i have the gsxr 600 1998.

I assume your talking about the bodywork.....?

You can put dam near any tailsection from most any bike with a removable rear subframe you want on there with just a minimum of modification to the mounts. Or your welder could. It shouldn't cost much to modify to fit.

yes the body work, i have the 1998 bulky rear end and want the slimmer 2000 to 2005.
ill check out costs in uk for new rear from salvage.
