Kawasaki or Suzuki?
Kawasaki or Suzuki?
would like some oppinions...
I own a Honda Rebel 250, been only riding for a year. Would like to upgrade to a bigger bike and was thinking of the Kawasaki Vulcan 500 or the Suzuki Boulavard S40 (which used to be the Savage 600) I am very short, 4'11" any ideas on which would be the better bike for me?
P.S. I am very happy with my Rebel but hubby rides a Suzuki Intruder 1400, can keep up with him on straight stretches most of the time, but when it comes to taking off at a stop sign, lol it takes me awhile to catch up.

I've got a Savage right now, it's a great bike, about the same size as yours but it has a little more grunt to it. You've only got one piston on there so it maxes out at about freeay speed, but overall it's a great bike.
Mine's for sale btw

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Nope, it's still carbed. Seems like overkill to fuel inject a single cylinder, but that's just me.

well in the reviews of the vulcan it always impresses. And it does. It will keep up with most larger cruisers and even embarress a few of them. It handles nicely around corners. It has enough power to do a wheelie. But it won't do one by accident. It really is an awesome bike. Nothign but good things to say about it. I have a 30-31 inch inseam and my knees are bent and i sit flat foot. Hope that helps a little. If you can reach this will be agreat bike for you.
