I'll second that one - well said! :righton:

I'm all for customizing bikes but it hurts to see someone make such a nice bike virtually unrideable. Sorting it out does not include FUBARing the whole thing IMO but like someone else said "different strokes for different folks"......I prefer to ride my bikes.....

You can ride that one, you just need to REALLY like going in a straight line.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Actually the whole issue of customizing bikes came up the other night while at dinner. Someone had parked a shiny, chromed out Fatboy near the entrance of the restaurant. I stopped to look at it, and the valet and I admired the bike briefly.

Later, I watched the rider go up to the bike and ride off, sans helmet, Jacket etc. Rolled my eyes and thought...figures.

When I gave my ticket to the valet he excitedly told me the owner of the fatboy was saying it was unique, a limited edition because only 3000 were made.

I looked back at the valet and said "All motorcycles are limited editions, by the time riders get through messing with them, there are no two alike!"

The valet just smiled, "oh yeah."

Looks like a drag racer to me...I dont see whats wrong with this custom job, they probably intended it to only go fast in a straight line.

Looks good.

It sure is OTT but it's OK to look at. The work seems to be well done & I'm sure it would handle weird but I'd have it.... & add it to my growing collection in my enormous Hangar, just like Jay Leno! :D

(All I have to do now is build that Hangar!) The collection is in my head. You know what I mean!

Looks to me like it would do pretty good in a tractor pull.
