also, maybe try power walking, like in MSF.

If you havent taken MSF, power walking is:

Sit on the bike with the engine running and roll back to where only your heels touch the gorund. from there just ease the clutch and throttle to where you move forward on to your feet again.

I did this for about 10 minutes when i got my new bike. After that the muscle memory will set in and you'll start rolling w/o even thinking!
