If it doesn't stop raining I may have to get pontoons for my bike. I know we're famous for rain here, but this is getting ridiculous.

Today it actually quit raining around 9am so I walked up to the insurance store to get a day permit.
But what do I see when I get there? They took an extra day off and were closed today. :frusty:

So, I'm hoping for some dry weather for the weekend.

The break from the rain was short lived. It started raining about 20 minutes ago.

I got out for a ride on Boxing Day......

Riding here on Dec. 23 is analogous to playing hockey on a frozen pond in downtown L.A........ just don't get the chance to do that very often....

It was too dam slippery to be really fun. I had a few 'whoa, easy there fella' moments and one full on flattrack rehearsal, but I kept 'er upright.

Stopped at my buddies acreage and took this.....

Last Ride Of '05.... :(

blues2cruise complained about too much rain. Here in S.E. Okla. we're 14" behind normal rainfall for the year and the wildfires are no fun. Went for a ride with the temp. of 78 and came upon a wildfire burning out of control on both sides of the hi-way. The wind gusts were clocked @40 mph! I didn't go any further cause the local volunteer firefighters had the road blocked and I couldn't see much further than 50 ft. in front of me due to the heavy smoke.

We'll be glad to take that rain from ya! jus' send 'er down this way!
