I love the dictionary, very hrlpfull. but wonder about this one

Checkbook Biker - Same as "InstaBiker" Someone who goes down to the dealership and writes a check for a new bike and new gear.

as opposed to what? How does one get started without money?

With the amazing financial services of your local banker, credit card, loan shark, etc.

But there are some, um, "more fortunate" people out there who have enough money to buy into the motorcycling lifestyle without experiencing any undue financial hardship. Like the young, well dressed couple I saw at the Toronto Motorcycle Show earlier this month... I arrived at the Ural display booth in time to see the guy lay his VISA Gold card on the table and buy their new $13,000 Retro sidecar rig without so muach as batting an eye.

I see, yeah, i will have to finance most of my new ride. I hope to have 25% paid by the time i pick it up around the end of March, plus i always pay the sales tax, can't see finacing tax.

Instabiker? As I understand it - "all the gear and no idea". Someone who goes out and buys a bike with all associated gear because it is this months/years cool thing. Usually says they have always been a biker but will drop biking as soon as the next cool thing comes along.
