I only have one leg (right leg came off, i wonder where it is..hmmm oh well)

so when i come to a stop i can only put one leg down, no probs, if ya sit on the bike and balance properly you dont use alot of strength to stay there, i ride in city traffic all the time and my leg never gets tired.

id say this guy is a lazy looker, had i been behind him i would of laughed at him :)

Nope, never done it at a stopllight. If waiting even for a while (railway crossing etc) i'll just put both feet down. The bike is really well balanced, with a nice low centre of gravity, so even with the G/F on the bike, it's never a chore to hold the bike up...
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.

Hmmm...Not to mention, with all the stuff I've read on here, putting it into neutral at a light is a no no...Kickstand down? Somebody's ASKING for it. :|

I havent actually done this, but I have forgotten to put my kickstand up a few times.... nothign worse then hearing the click of it coming back up..although I suppose its better then not having it come up and taking a spill

I don't know, but it doesn't seem like he would be ready to take off or maneuver at a moments notice if someone decided to not to stop or something.

Never done that either. Sure doesn't seem safe. In Miami I was bumped from behind once while stopped at a light. How would that look when your bike gently rolls off the stand and falls over! While you're scrambling to catch it. Sounds like a show off to me also.

I'd never done that and also think it is dangerous to sit on a bike with kickstand down, but I did get off bike at traffic light to secure/lock my saddld bag a couple times.

Ditto.....

I think the focus of this thread was psoing when he put down the stand...made even more dangerous with it being night of course.

Made for some fun joking with my riding buddy on our ride yesterday though.....
