Have stored my bike for the winter(Honda cb650Nighthawk), it was turning over when I removed the battery. Have tried to reinstall battery after trickle charging(yes the battery has a charge) and the bike does not even show headlights etc. much less turn over. Have checked all the fuses I can find ie under the headlight on front forks. No problems found. Help! What am I doing wrong?
First thing I checked. That is unless it is in the switch itself. How do I tell if that is it. Any way to run circuit around it. If I take switch apart, anyway to tell if something is wrong or to clean contact points.
Are you sure the right cables went to the right posts? Positive to + and Negative to -. Not being smart here just asking simplier things have had me scratching my head for hours. Since you're sure the battery is topped off and has at least 12 volts showing I would then check the ground circuit for better contact. The negative should attach fairly close to the frame under the seat. The cable is about 5" long max. How did you attach the trickle charger? Recheck all the connections there for tightness and noncorrusion.
The kill switch is a fairly simple toggle style inside depending on your yr. But I wouldn't go there until I had exhausted the battery issue sense it was working before the winter storage. Good luck.

The Force can have a strong influence on the weak minded.
The kill switch will have nothing to do with the lights and so on. I think it is a dead cell on the battery. Try another battery first before you start stripping things. And as been said check your earth, this could also cause a big problem.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
