Carrying a guitar

i like to ride my bike on the weekends but recently I have signed up for guitar lessons. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a good way to carry a guitar or a good backpack or something. I am learning to play the Spanish guitar.

Get one of the gig bags that are soft. They have straps on the back that fit on just like a backpack.

Carrying a Guitar is just like carrying a Surfboard, no matter how careful you are you inevitably end up banging it on.....well....everything!

At least in my experience anyway....

Look at this novel way of 'Riding' to your Guitar lessons!!

I guess you could call it a 'GUITARLEY!'

But it only plays one tune, and if you try to change the tune, the lawyers show up with an injunction to stop you.... your audience will be mostly fat old men who think they are cool and all play the same guitar as you..... it will leak oil all over the stage..... you can only play it for an hour or so before your fingers go numb from the vibes..... oh, this could go on for awhile......

I've ridden for 30 years and played guitar for 27.........and I have never considered doing this! Sounds a little dangerous to me.......

acoustic or electric? I've never done this. But my dad has. He used a cargo net to hold it on.

Sounds dangerous for the guitar. My general rule is that if I'll be mad if it fell off and broke, I will not take it on the bike. But that's just me.
Something as big and awkward as a guitar definately qualifies. Even with just the arm sticking up above your head, that's A LOT of windresistance for something that wasn't designed to take any.
