Honda CX's have a great rep for reliability.

Personally I think they are ugly ducklings....So therefore I wouldn't get carried away with too much money trying to make it look cool.

Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll get many happy miles on your bike....until you buy a prettier bike that is! :P

Congrats on picking up the CX. Good bike.

Doing a bit of custom work is a nice way of really making the bike your own and you will get to know it better as you go over it during the process.

The yellow example posted by High_Side really caught my eye, especially that sprung seat and the minimal fender up front.

Good luck with your project. In the end you will be riding something different instead of buying into the herd.
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

the CX is plenty different to start. Only thing it resembles is a moto guzzi.

You dont see them very often on the road

I am a sportbike guy myself, but when I saw that yellow cx the gears upstairs started turning  It WOULD be nice to have a cruiser to ride with my cruiser friends. I COULD put something like that together pretty cheap.....hmmmmm....
