How to wire up blinkers???

#1 Unread post by xtreme balance »

Hey everyone. I bought an enduro from china during the summer. The salesman said it would be street legal. Obviously, he lied! It did not come with a mirror, or blinkers. I have taken apart the bike to access the wires, and although it seems easy, I cannot get the blinkers to work properly. Is there something stupid that I am missing? The blinkers have two wires each, and I believe there are two wires coming from the blinker switch (yup came with that! go figure) that go into the harness. Any advice please!!!

Test the wires coming out of the harness into the blinker switch to make sure they are hot.

You need a 'flasher relay' too, in between the bulbs and the on/off switch

I am a Texas DOT inspector and blinkers are not a requirement for a saftey sticker on a motorcycle. A good thing to have but not required. Just like the wind sheild, a good thing to have but not required. It is a good idea to know hand signals.
