My best friend and I both build computers for fun and for profit. There isn't a single computer in either of our houses. At last count 10 altogether that don't use Firefox. Including my fathers work computer.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Unfortunately websites this big, cost money to host on the internet, I admire Mike's descision to have (relatively few) popups, instead of having a subscription membership system as more and more sites seem to.
They aren't excessive here, and it keeps the information up on the net, and freely available for all to see.
I use internet explorer with spyware blaster and spybot to neutralise adware. I see no reason to block the popups, as they're for a good cause In-my-not-so-humble-opinion.
As always, you are free to choose as you will, but I'd prefer to have an add appear on screen than give out my bank details to every website (not too far away with the way things are going)

It's your choice, do as you will, but I choose popups

I had actually been here for a while before I discovered that there were pop-ups at all and only because someone else mentioned them . I have been using Mozilla for some time now so it had nothing to do with avoiding anything .
Kindest regards, Wizzard
