the link doesn't work for me

anyway... i thought the gixxer 1000 already has a top speed of around 180mph or 300kmh on its own

i saw some drag racing on speed channel... those bikes are modifed like crazy to accelerate... once guy even got thrown away by the extreme acceleration his bike did.

there's a modified busa that easily got almost 300mph in the race. that's almost 500kmh

I'd suspect that there may be an aftermarket turbo involved. According to the speedo, he was actually topping out at around 300 kph, but he was getting there awfully quickly. I noted the rpm kept increasing, but the speedo stopped at 299.

He was actually coming down off a wheelie at 220 kph (137mph). That's just plain crazy. If that front tire is just a few degrees off center when it hits the pavement, the bike and rider are toast at that speed. I've got a few videos of stunters learning this the hard way at much lower speeds.

Thoise guys often put a larger sprocket on the rear, causing the speedo to read much faster than they are going. The bigger sprocket gives them better wheelie ability.

Squidly anyway...

His speedometer read 120 while he was going the same speed as a bus next to him. Assuming the bus was doing 60 mph, that means the guy on the bike never really went much over 140 mph. I've been 186, I don't think he was going that fast.
