The R-44 they flew me around in had the letters ... C-FARK.... on the tail rotor. I still get a kick outta that and often substitute Farkin' hell for the more offence version to this day. I'm the only one who gets the joke, but I'm used to that.
But that IS one chopper I would love to own....

'copters and that AirBike idea are all cool!
I can see that Airbike coming of age here in the next several years... seems quite viable given current technology. I know nothing of the aeronatics involved, but hey, if a bee can fly (and last I heard we were still having difficulty figuiring that one out) than that thing looks as good as a flying bee machine to me.
No more wheelies... probably a wierd spacey sensation of lack of traction and constantly slipping clutch too... hmmmm... but i guess learning loop-de-loops, 120+ degree banking, diving and hovering, and the great mountain VIEW from that thing are a good substitute!
maybe strafing runs by the local coffee shop at 20-feet would really make up for a lot. Now me thinks the police rather than technology are what we need to concern ourselves with, because they're the people who are going to keep these machines out of public hands!
hey mashby... my 2-cents sez give up the high-paying day job and go fly copters man! those opportunities are how the world asks you where your real heart is at... we chose to work for money, and then we end up tired and choosing the couch too often... a rich and lazy existence. Most of the best gigs in the world DONT PAY in dollars in the short term... that's the trick man. You can have money or you can do something cool and LIVE. Sometimes for the real lucky, like Rossi, you can do both. But that's one guy who put in A LOT OF EFFORT well before people started to really see how he got there... many years of copter flying behind the scenes for a guy like Rossi. It's sort of like being a Bike Courier in the early years for the rest of us... tons of fun... learning how the world really works. meet people who are just as crazy as you are, and you all starve together
--- we call that comradery and community where i come from... i was once a poor starving privateer roadracer, then like a fool i went for high-paying computer work and all the stupidity of working the corporate thing... and then chose to throw it all away, to become a poor starving artist... but i you will be well fed on other things! adversity breeds character... yada yada yada...
