It was the summer between my 12th & 13th birthday and the year was 1957 .
I scored a 1946 doodle bug . These , of course , are not the original pics of my first scooter but are exactly like it .
And it's been love ever since then...................
I tore the roads and alleys up and eluded the cops many times cause I could cut through peoples yards and go where no man had gone before...........true story .
Regards, Wizzard

Just imagine this bike with a big "O Ring" vetter fairing on it (that I desperately want to remove).
Paid 500 for it so im not complaining
Here's my buddy's '81 GL500i with a Harley headlight, Harley slip-ons, and a Sportster tail light:
The slip-ons sound really good and, incidentally, I have another set exactly like them in my garage right now. I'm going to list them on eBay for him but if you're interested and would like to make an offer, send me a PM.
1976 HARLEY DAVIDSON
OK, so it wasn't a REAL Harley
AMF 250SS. 250 2 stroke.
BUT IT DID SAY HARLEY DAVIDSON ON THE TANK
Rode it about 1 mile. Maybe.
Ran out of gas and would never start again. http://www.bikez.com/pictures/harley-da ... 0user..jpg
Of course mine was RED. And didn't look nearly this good.
Piece of junk that it was....now I wish I had it back again.
It's not worth much, but it was unique.
Oh, and sorry about the link. Couldn't figure out how to get picture into the post.
I have some pics of me and the Goose and the KL in 1982, but she has forbidden me to post them, she looked like a real geek then. Bushy perm and re-entry sheild glasses and me in army surplus greens
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R
I live in southeastern Ma. About 20 minutes from Cape Cod.
But not ready for buying your bike now. I am buying a new cruiser now (most likely before weeks end) and started taking my old Ninja apart. You guys gave me the fever for a sport bike.
I spent about an hour taking it apart today. Opened the air box and found what looks like a rodents home. Yikes! This is going to be more work than I thought. I need a good web site for odering parts.
Hey Wizzard, that 1946 doodle bug is a smoking machine. That thing must crank out at least 3 horses.
