Hi, my name is Elaine and I have been riding for 40 years and still enjoy the thrill of swinging a leg over the saddle. I currently am riding a V-Star 1100 which is my first cruiser. I always rode sport bikes before and this is a real change. I find I am more relaxed and not so aggressive and am really enjoying the ride more.
I am planning a trip across Canada soon, with a friend who rides a BMW.
I am interested in finding out about the best roads and things to see on our trip. We will be startling from BC and going to the other coast.

If you're starting in BC, (a great place to start from) you may want to get a copy of "Destination Highways". This is a great mapbook written just for the motorcycle enthusiast.

Welcome aboard!
You'll have to keep us posted on your cross-Canadian trip. I can't wait for the day when my family can spare me for more than a week so that I can hit the road for a long, long trip. Enjoy the forums.
Cheers,
Loonette

Be forewarned that Deer are our ENEMY! In Manitoba and Ontario the deer popultion is out of control. I have had several near misses close to the Manitoba / Ontario border and they where in the middle of the day! Enjoy your trip, ride safe.
