Um howdie Im a newb here but I got an insurance question

#1 Unread post by bluecollarbiker »

Well i gotta buell blastlast year in june and they have a deal that i can trade it in for full retail value when i upgrade.

I want to upgrade to a buell lighting xbr12 & thing is my insurance company quoted me over 8000 dollars for full coverage.another quoted me 5000.I live in st.louis missouri so i guess that may be why i get these rediculous qoutes.

Any how does any one have any suggestions for providers?

(ive already talked to allstate progressive formost and their other associate)
If i cant find any better rates then i guess ill just have to go with the harley street bob ive been drooling over.

thanks for any assistance.

most companies i called are quoting me almost $10K for a comprehensive insurance on my bike. that's almost like buying my bike every year.

i chose AAA... i only pay about $800+ for a comprehensive insurance on my bike plus another $800 for liability only for my car.

it would have been cheaper but i got a ticket last november.

so try AAA.

Thing is if i got the harley it would be 800 a year
and the lowest quote for the buell was 5000 something.

Ill give them a call amoung other places if recomended.

appreciate it bro.

i use progressive. I had comprehesive for my EX500 for 620 at 18. Then it jumped to 2300 when i got in an accident in my cage a few months ago. So i dumped the comprehensive so for basic coverage its about 510. Just make sure you shop around and find whats cheapest.
