almost 50 years old - finally got a bike this summer! '03 Triumph Bonneville - mostly riding recreationally now, getting the hang of things. Plan to do some touring this summer - down to the beach, up to the mountains (especially the Dragon).

Welcome macdaddy, that plan sounds great. I have heard that the Dragon is a bit tricky in places....Beware!

Hey there,

So YOU are the guy who bought a Bonneville! From the BMW/Triumph place on Atlantic?

If you get a chance, you should head out to Michael's in Carborro (Chapel Hill maybe? Chatham County) - a bar, not a craft store :-D - Sundays are biker brunch day. You'll see lots of old Bonnies, some Nortons. A lot of cool bikes. Sunny and warm days are best - we went last Sunday, and the place was empty.

Send me a private message or reply here if you need to know how to get there, or ride with us some time (I am in North Raleigh near HWY 70).

I'll be there in May - following a bunch of Mini Coopers around. :)
