How fast have you gone?

please don't think of this as any form of competition....i just want to know how much of yur bike's actual power you've used.

so post motorcycle model name & fastest street speed.

suzuki GSX-R1000 K6 - 65mph on a 50mph speed limit street

i think my bike's top speed is around 180mph, so i have only used 1/3 of the total speed power so far.

I've flirted with 175 km/h I think that's just over 100mph. At that point I was starting to lift off the seat from the pressure of the wind. I gotta get a windscreen.

2004 Honda 599.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

2003 EX500 at 114mph. Way to fast for my taste and wont be getting that fast again any time soon

Lots of straight, flat roads in Alberta.

I spend a good chunk of time with the speedo to the right of 200 KPH, the highest I ever looked down and seen was 260 KPH on the highly optimistic speedo of my '90 FJ-1200.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Fastest I've been was a registered 140mph on the highway.
Fastest I've gone with a chick on back, 120mph highway (she gave her permission first)

And, last thing I saw on a backroad before I ran off the road and totaled the bike...about 110 mph Lucky for me I was able to brake quite a bit before I came off the bike, probably dropped another 20 or 25 mph...that would bring me down to about 85-90mph when I lowsided and started my own trajectory on the ground. How I survived I'll never know.

On my new bike, 03 VTX1800, I've had it up to 110 on the highway.

I'm done with speed. Too dangerous.
