Buell - do they even sell bikes for short people?

Does anyone know/have an idea if I would be able to toe down or flatfoot this one? 5'5", 29"(-ish?) inseam.

I read that to foot a 28" seat for example, you should be at least a half-inch taller but I was wondering if anyone here knows more specifically about this bike.....

Any short riders that are gonna take a look at Buells or Harleys (or is over 25 and dresses nicely) go test em out!

The 28.6" seat height for the XB12Scg is a laden height, with a 180# rider aboard, and the 31.9" for the Gixxer is the unladen heigth. Not directly comparable.

I'm 6' even now, down from my half century long 6' 2" height, but I've always had relatively short legs with a long mid section. A 29" inseam fits me now better than the the 30" I wore for years.

If you had asked me a week ago, I'd have tried one at the Cycle World Bike Show last weekend. But I did get a nice demo ride on a Buell Cyclone M2 Low at the Honda Hoot back in 01 and it's 31" seat height fit me nicely, about same as my GSs.

Ignore the seat height. Because the width of the seat makes as much of a difference as the height, two bikes with the same seat height can be vastly different in terms of how easily you can flat foot them. The best thing you can do is head over to the local bike store and start sitting on bikes. You'll find one that fits you well.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

The buell blast comes with a low seat option for shorter riders.

My girlfriend is 5'8'' and she easily flatfoots the buell lightning. She has a foot problem from an old surgery so she needs to get her feet pretty wide from the bike for sure footing. I'm sure at teh very least you can have one foot down and one foot on your toes for that bike. Best way to find out is go sit on a few though.

Most buells have a low seat option. Its not just the blast that has that.

The short seat blast must be designed for someone about 5'1" or so. My wife who is 5'3" was a tad too tall for the short seat blast, but fit pretty well on the standard seat blast
