Yah I never thought to put the pants in the backpack until the last bit of the post and by that time it was too late (IE I was too lazy) to re-phrase my post.

Jacket in the chair thing would work (not over the back though, our seats are way too closely put together to do that. College has to cram 500 students in a 60x30 room (or close to those dimensions, not sure on the exact dimensions).

And the helmet, eh a conversation piece if nothing else.

At work my Neck 'Tecktor and Gloves go inside my Lid, my Lid and Body Armour go in my Locker.

I roll my Hein Gericke Jeans down over my black Bike boots and look pretty much like any other member of staff.

My bike Jeans and the padding in them is Hein Gericke's own branding but I can say they honestly work in low speed drops. My knees didnt feel a thing despite me slamming down onto them. They are also surprisingly comfprtable when I am working on the bike as well.

Maybe I am getting old?

<edit>

I forgot to mention. From personal experience above 30mph normal denim shreds like paper.

Idont know where you go to school, but if you hae decent weather i would leave the helmet on the bike, if you go with the kawasaki ninja 500 im pretty sure it has a helmet hanger on the side, its got a lock that only your key unlocks. as far as pants and jacket your jacket gets worn to class, you hang it on the back of your chair, pants get left on, put in your bookbag, or stuffed under your chair.
with that kind of cash you can get a good used 500, and great gear.

What kind of jacket are you wearing that you cannot drape it over the back of your chair?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

It's not the jacket that will be the problem (I don't own a jacket nor a bike at the moment, can't afford to).

It's the way the chairs are set up. It's a lecture hall designed to hold 317 people (not my 500 guesstimate earlier, 317 is the exact figure).

There's simply not enough room between you and the chair next to you and the chair behind you to put my jacket. I'd have to put it under my seat or in my lap or something.

My college likes to squeeze everyone into a classroom like sardines. More money per space unit.

That makes no conceivable sense, seeing as a jacket would only add about 1/2 a centimeter to the depth of the back of the chair, and it wouldn't even come out past your elbows on either side.

At least if you get the draggin jeans you can wear them off the bike and not be uncomfortable or look strange.

Another way you can stash your jacket is to get a nice long cable for your helmet lock on your bike, and then thread the cable through your helmet and through the sleeves of your jacket securing both to your bike

But I don't HAVE elbow room. My armrest is the person next to me's desk and my desk is the person on the other side of me's arm rest.

You only get your left arm rest if no one sits next to you or your right one if you sacrifice a hard surface to write stuff down on.

You can do it, I have faith, I've thrown mine over the back of a movie theater seat before. It'll work.

This is about what it looks like but imagine the gap between the two chairs is non existant and they're that much closer to each other.

You can't raise your desk without hitting the person's leg next to you.

Oh and they're not near that well elevated either.
