Like me. I seem to get new gear about one year before I get a new DIFFERENT colour bike. It keeps with my theme of trying to be uncool at all times....Sevulturus wrote:Don't forget that if you end up getting a different colored bike down the road that color matched gear might not color match your new wheels.

Okay, I'll confess; like skiiers, I like my gear to match my ride. Since I ride a black beast, it's easy.
But I used to ride a yellow bike, and a jacket that was red, white and black.
Nowadays, I look and see someone who is a fashion violater, and think to myself, "His gear doesn't match his bike. I don't care."
Whatever you like, you should do.

When it comes right down to it... I don't match colors for anything. My bike is black, my summer leather is black, my winter JR Touring jacket is red and black, and my JR pants are black. Before I had the black bike, I had a dark blue bike. So to hell with it... as long as I dont' look like one of the guys from Stryper, I'll wear whatever. Same with everyday casual dress. Black t-shirt (usually sporting some band logo or some random design that I liked - usually something with skulls), blue jeans or cut off BDU's with sneakers or 8 eye Doc's.
I have to wear various uniforms and monkey suits for my day job... so I go as casual as I can... including when I ride.

We're the first ones to starve
We're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie in the sky
But we're always the last
When the gravy's shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

I've yet to see a skier who wants to color-coordinate their gear with their skis/bindings/boots. Well, at least none of the male skiers I've met.canuckerjay wrote:Okay, I'll confess; like skiiers, I like my gear to match my ride. Since I ride a black beast, it's easy.

Really? Wow -- must be a Canadian fascination. Up here, male, female or miscelaneous; every skiier seems to be coordinated.
