Well the low end power is exceptional which on the street lets you roll on and not shift so much which I can say I like but the machine will prove or disprove itself this year for sure. Let us not forget the B rits build em pretty fast and great handling they had a little hicup with the reliability section( PRINCE OF DARKNESS) but alot a people don't remeber LUCAS ELECTRICS.

why are the triumph daytonas inline 3 cylinder? what's the reason behind this choice?

It's part way between v-twin and inline 4. More equal torque vs hp characteristics. It sounds cooler, and they do it well.

The triple is thoaty and uniquely rythmic. I had a t-bird and a good friend has a speed triple the daytona 675 has a speed triple hum to it. I have a speedmaster currently and I do not hate the inline twin sound but I miss the triple. The combination of revs and roll on brute power is just my thing so with that I have concluded I must and will purchase a Speed Triple next month as soon as I dump the speedmaster, I must admit though I do quite like the speedmaster but she is not a 3

From what I have heard, the engine is very street friendly for a middleweight sportbike but the riding position says track bike, every bit as aggressive as the japanese 600s.

Also heard that this 675cc triple will power the replacement for the speed four next year.
