Best of the 600's
I have an 02 R6 and I drive that bike every day for commutes to school and work (gotta love designated bike parking). I have done longer runs as well and if you are out of shape it will wear you down but for daily driving...no problems what so ever. Of course the 99-02 was the previous body style before the 03+ rolled out so I cannot speak for those but the stock seat on my R6 was more comfortable than the Corbin seat on my old 86 ZX600R.
And yes...definitely look into the YZF 600 for more "sport touring" style riding. You can do a lot to pep them up and they still look the part as well. Honda F4I? I totally agree there too. Good for the money (if you can afford it). I have heard the Suzuki Katana's are pretty short on power from an owner but I hear they are still fun to drive though. I sat in the seat of the 700 and it felt pretty big and heavy, but lots of wind protection there.
Basically, take your time and get into the seat of as many bikes that are available to you. When it fits....

Where can you get that faring anyways??sleepychicken wrote:Speaking of SV650S... that's another choice. Get it, put the Suzuki lower fairing on it and you have a V-twin sport bike for a lot cheaper than a F4i.

I sat on one yesterday while waiting for Neil Hodgson to arrive. It's comfy, but a lil' springy on the rear end.rodzbike wrote:the Triumph 675 is awesome...comfortable too. A dealership has one on the floor here. Seems very comfy
