Hello from Miami

#1 Unread post by Z (fka Sweet Tooth) »

Hi everyone, I decided to join my husband on the road and im taking the motorcycle class next weekend. I've been a passenger for a while and decided that even though I enjoy being a passenger that I would like to take control and drive it myself. I cant wait to take the classes!

Wecome to the world of riders. I'm sure you already know, you'll have a great time. The class is great. Practice too what they teach you there, and you'll always be in control of your bike.

Welcome, Sweet!

What kind of bike does your husband ride? Are you thinking of riding the same type?

My husband just got a Vulcan Classic and he wants me to ride what hes been riding all this time which is a Honda Sabre 1100 but I think thats just to much weight for me. Im a big girl and I can foot it fine but its just to top heavy for me. I dont want to negotiate curves and turns worrying abouy my newbie skills and it being to heavy. My plan is to go window shopping for now and sit on a couple of bikes then once I get my endorsement (feb 24th) I'll have a better idea of what I can handle. I'm super excited about it, I cant wait to get out there!!! I just dont want to be overwhelmed by a monster bike.

Once you become proficient on your starter bike the Sabre won't seem that big.
