just got back from my BRC lecture and 1st range...

#1 Unread post by VermilionX »

i didn't learn anything new. oh well, maybe in the 2nd range i'll learn something new. i do understand that they teach as if none of us have ever ridden a bike before.

it nice though that one of the instructors was a young cute woman. she's a pro bike stuntwoman if im not mistaken. she didn't show us any stunts though.

i did have hard a hard time on clutch and brake since for them, you always have to brake 1st. i use the clutch 1st before braking when im only going slow. so it messed me up over there a couple of times and i have to mentally think of it as opposed to when im on my bike.

also i didn't have so much have fun, i got put in a cruiser bike. :( i would have liked to get one of the nighthawks for a standard sitting position.

but i did enjoy 1 exercise, and it was the quick small swerves through cones.

my 2nd range is gonna be tomorrow noon. i just wanna get this over with so i can get my license already. it'll take some time too since they only mail the DL389, they don't give it right away. but anyway, my bike's maintenance is not gonna be done until next weekend so hopefully, i recieve the form shortly after it.

You did learn somthing. Proper braking.

And one of my instructers was a cute woman in her mid 20's. She rode a GZ250 Side saddle around a few of the cone setups

also, i liked what the other person taught me weeks ago.

his way is much better and that is to use the rear brake 1st then immedaitely apply the front instead of using them at the same time.

that way, the rear gets settled in and it helps avoid doing an endo.

t'll take some time too since they only mail the DL389, they don't give it right away.
They give you a temp license until you get your hard copy.

When I went in and passed and gave my voucher thing they asked for my current license, cut the top of it off and goes "ok this is now void" and I"m like "WTF!?" and then they gave me this paper one and said it was my license until I get my hard one..

I think they got pleasure out of my 'wtf' moment.
Have fun on the open /¦\

You're supposed to use both at the same time. If done properly, you won't endo.

i didn't drive my car, im worried on taking it to longer distances so i borrowed my sister's car.

and her being a stuntwoman, it's gonna be pretty hard for me at this point of my riding career to impress her.

but that's when you already have your DL389 form... and then you exchange it and the permit to get yout temp lic and then wait for the actual card.

you're right, but i don't think using the rear 1st is wrong either.
