The first time riding with my husband was not bad at all, yeah my helmet crashed into his a couple of times, but I soon got the hand of it. As a result of all our riding, I decided to sign up for the classes myself and get my own bike. I love riding with him, but I also love taking control of the bike myself.

When I took my girlfriend for a ride on the back of my bike, she was a little hesitant. The last ride she experienced was with some squid that thought he would impress her with lots of wheelies! She hadn't been on once since.
So I took it real easy on a back road with no traffic, taking care not too accelerate or brake too hard. After a few miles I stopped to check to see if she was OK and enjoying it. She replies:
"Are we ever going to get some speed out of this thing? I want too feel some torgue!"
So I opened 'er up a few times and she loved it! Part of the reason of her confidence was that she trusted me and knew that I would nothing to endanger either of us.
We rode together for a year. Since then she has taken the MSF course and now has her own bike (2004 GS500F).
For Valentines Day, I got her a new pair of riding pants and she took me shopping at the KTM store!
What a great girl!

Hey, it took me 19 years of riding and several failed relationships before I found one who wanted to ride her own bike. And man, was she ever worth the wait! There's nothing like the feeling you get when you look in your mirror and see your sweetie on her bike, all proud and pretty. Or when you look ahead and watch her sweet bum as she navigates her way through traffic. My Angie is a very good rider and my heart swells with pride every time we ride together. We look good!Mustang wrote:I really envy these guys like Gummiente and Sapaul who's partners like to ride their own bikes......

It isn't WHAT you ride,
It's THAT you ride

I frequently get harassed by Mrs. Stark about the difference in power output between her bike and mine.jmillheiser wrote:LOL. If he rides his Harley he should be able to keep up with his girlfriend. dont know about that Ural though.

That's alright, though. I got plans she doesn't suspect.......wait till summer......
