A Newb and His Bike

#1 Unread post by nogood25 »

I'm looking at a first bike and am pretty excited about it. I've read about everything the internet has to offer over the last 6 months and am mostly finished my riding course here in Vancouver. I am now on the hunt for my first bike. I've seen an ad for a 1984 Magna V30 that looks good and in my price range. I don't know what the mileage is yet but other than that I am almost sold on this bike. Anyone ever ridden one? Thoughts or things I should be aware of? Particularly maintenance or mechanical concerns?

Make sure it'll turn over...
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

If that's the price, that's a ton of money. Keep looking!
