radian headlight

#1 Unread post by kar_the_terrible »

The headlight on the yamaha radian is somehow not to my taste. I just bought an 86 radian and Im wondering if someone found a headlight fairing etc. or a full headlight assembly that looks a bit better.

Apparently they can be had:

Might wanna Google around for one. Or you could swap out the headlight for a round one and add one of these:

first pic looks cool. Wonder where you got that pic?

I'll check google. Guess I havent been doing the right search phrases.

EDIT::
d'oh nevermind I'd found that page but didnt bother clicking on the pics. Apparently that one is custom. I prefer the dual headlights though.

Or the round ones

The Radian's square headlight gives it that 80s look, though!

Regardless of if you change the headlight or not, the Yahoo Radian group is a superb resource for Radians: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/radian/messages

Derek at Motolab frequents the list. He owns a custom motorcycle shop and can get you all the parts you need to get the bike in tip-top shape.

A quick checklist for things Radians are notorious for: leaky petcocks, steering head bearings (Derek can get you tapered roller bearings to replace the stock ball bearings, they are a superb upgrade), wheel bearings (specced to be replaced every 20,000 miles) and front fork springs (RaceTech sells replacements for the woefully inadequate stock springs).
