The GX3 was conceived by the Moonraker team and VW’s Design Center in California, exclusively with the U.S. in mind, to bring an exciting idea to a fully functioning concept. There's been some neat trike/car things over the years, and the blurb i read on the VW in a magazine said it is quite likely to be going into production.

If you cant ride, or dont feel like putting the feet down then these little sportscar/trikes would be a great toy...

Another cool one is a 170HP engined Puegot called the "20CUP"... just google. It's more of a show car i think, but eveyone is looking for marketing niches, and maybe one of these will go mainstream. Fuel economy, performance, small size... i think the world is set for one of these to be on every corner!

True. just as invisible as when one is on a motorcycle, however driving that low to the ground makes it tougher to see around SUVs too.. i guess it will add to the excitement

I see the VW has a quite streetable 125HP, whereas the Peugeot's 170HP
seems like something for spec-class racing. Both are very different but equally cool.. more vids, pics, specs:

Furthermore, as a motorcycle-style vehicle, VW says, the GX3 would be cleared for solo driving in California's HOV lanes--a la hybrid cars--making it a commuter's dream come true. However, being in the motorcycle class, it would require a motorcycle driver's license to operate. And yes, one would have to wear a helmet in states with helmet laws; a small price to pay for such big fun."
