Put a price on training
What do you think is a fair price for motorcycle training, not the MSF or state requirement but if you wanted to pay for it privately. Is it the price that puts most of us off paying for training?
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

For me it's that whole "learning from someone else when I can learn it myself" thing.sapaul wrote:Is it the price that puts most of us off paying for training?

around $200+ USD.
which is exactly what the MSF here cost and the track school i wanna use.
the track school price is very good... it comes w/ food and beverages, and even a complimentary massage therapist.

I'd l;ike to do more training once I have gotten over spending £470 ($820) on the practical elements for my licence.
Passing the Theory costs me £20 or so in materials from my local Bike school and some of their time which they graciously gave me for free.

For me its all about the money.
I am a student so getting the bike was a stretch. After reading the forum i decided not to go cheap with gear but i am hopping many many hrs at a parking lot and around my block will supplant the MSF course.
I realize that the MSF/private lessons teaches techniques that could one day save my life and my bike but in NYC its out of my price range.
I guess my life is worth less than $350 bucks plus tax.
I am planning on buying some cones and simulating the drills they do at the msf.

Training is priceless to me...
I dont regret paying the $250 for the MSF training, they offer private training at $60 an hour and would not hesitate to go back for it if I need it. Yes you can practice on your own, but if there is something that you just arent getting the hang of, the training is the best thing to do. Granted it's not always financialy possible, but definately worth it.

Paid $275 for mine and it was worth every penny. As matter of fact I might even take the advanced riders course later on this year.
