Hmm, maybe a stadium parking lot, or the parking lot for california speedway.

They run autocross in smaller parking lots than that.

rosebowl is good, only problem is sometimes the pasadena fire fighters are their practicing driving their big trucks, and half the lot is under construction i think, but its useally good to practice on.

oh cr@p! it'd be hard finding someone to coach me on a weekday.

i work tues, thurs, fri... mon and wed i have school but it's not all day. especially on wed, i get out of school early.

i would go there tomorrow but w/o a coach, i don't think it'll be productive for me since i can can't see myself riding and im inexperienced. :(

Take a couple of old CD's that messed up when you were burning stuff, and bring them to the parking lot. Pace off a LARGE circle and drop the CD's to mark it. Now go around the circle on your bike, then go again, and again, then once more. Keep doing it.

Now make the circle smaller, see how fast you can work up to on that one.

The guys in the pic above, that's how they managed to do that, practise practise practise.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
