Hey!
First post for me, but I've been reading a ton for the past month. I narrowed down my search to two bikes, the Kawasaki Ninja 500 and the Suzuki GS500F. I really like both of these bikes, and they look great for beginner bikes. Well, I have found an 02 Ninja 500 with 14,500 miles on it for $2600. Is there anything I should know about this bike? On the description of the bike it says "fender eliminated", what does that mean? Just curious. Thanks for any replies!
watcha think? 02 ninja 500?

Sounds like a pretty good deal, decent milage, I believe the price is good. I'd look it over carefully for damage, make sure it fires up and all that.
Other then that an eliminated fender is well, I'l show you.

The fendor is the black bit that sticks down off the tail of the bike. if it's been eliminated that means he either bought an aftermarket kit, or just chopped off part of it himself.
Take a close look at that, and double check that all the blinkers work. You might be able to talk him down a little if you complain about the fact he did it himself (if he did).
Oh, and glad to have you on the board.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
