What movie are you most embarrassed to admit you like?

Thought I'd start another movie related thread.

So what about it?

I'll get this going with...The English Patient.

I take a lot of heat for my love of movies like starship troopers, armageddon, all the living dead movies, donnie darko, etc. I guess the problem is that loving them doesn't embarras me at all!

Those are all pretty cool movies. I'm talking about the ones generally considered uncool, but you happen to like.

Embarrassed? Well lots, but it depends who I'm telling.

The wisdom of crocodiles (with Jude Law), comes to mind. Everyone else I've ever met thinks its a lously film.
The loveless (brilliant biker movie, but I'd never admit it to my wife)
The Warriors (ditto my wife)
The Shining (ditto again)
Fight club - Amazing film, but politically scary. Seen it six times.
Lost in space (groan! Loved the series as a kid - I can't help it)
The Mask (because Jim Carrey makes me want to vomit.)
Little Buddah (because it has Keanu Reeves as the Buddah and it's actually a lot of tosh)
My Own Private Idaho (Went to see it on my own in my bike gear - probably a mistake)

And so on...

To which you can add, all Chinese ghost films
And almost any weepie ever made (pass the hankie).

Fortunately I disliked:
Titanic (yerrgh, poor quality slop)
Gladiator (a big, big bore)
Independence Day (how simple minded can you get?)
Mission Impossible (Is there anything to like?)
Austin Powers (The Pits)
Jackie Chan films (snore!)

Torque
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

That is a great movie! I'm not embarrased for liking it..

Although, most of the movies Im embarrassed that I like are romantic comedies I see with my girlfriend. There's only a few that I'd watch more than once or twice though...

I liked the English Patient, as well as all the ones on cb360's list.

I liked Fantastic 4 and the Punisher... that seemed to be ridiculed by some of my friends. Then again, I'll go watch any comic book movie, and probably like it. (X-men and X-Men 2 are the best though... liked them better than spiderman).

I think I have the best or worst one here, depends how you view it. Dare I say it here....... :humm: . I'd never say this to any of my guy friends, but I thought The Notebook was a pretty good movie. That girl was pretty hot too.
