Triumph chain and sprocket sets

#1 Unread post by psmorgan »

Hey guys and gals,

From the Triumph website, I can get a new chain and both sprockets for my 2005 Tiger for $189.

Is this a reasonable price?
Is the chain already cut to the appropriate size?
What tools will I need to do the job?
Would I be better off to buy some other brand?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

You have an '05 Tiger and you need a chain and sprockets already? What happened? :? I put over 44,000km (in under 2 years) on my '01 Tiger before it needed those.

I've got 16,000 miles on it now and it does not appear to need another chain/sprocket set yet. I just didn't want to wait until the last minute. What I'm asking is, can I get something better with a different brand or should I just replace with stock?
