How about you collect the cheques and hand out resumes... then ride to the job interviews? That way you get the best of all scenarios without the guilt. The company that hires you - and believe me, one of them will - makes their decision on your personality as well as your qualifications. You show up on a Ural and you will definitely get their attention.

It isn't WHAT you ride,
It's THAT you ride

Take the money and run......no I mean ride................

I have no problem with taking a break, but I guess you don't want to miss out on an opportunity. Good jobs are hard to find.

I've been paying for unemployment insurance for nearly 30 yrs and have never once made a claim. If I were eligible to make a claim, I don't see a huge ethical problem with taking my time and making sure I find the right job![]()

The money is paid for a reason... use it for a month or 2 of fun (you need to wind down after an "O Ring" employer like that), but don't abuse it.
Hmmm.... On second thoughts, better make it 3 months

When I was on unemployment insurance I went to school, college, also I did not have to look for a job, I just had an instructor sign the form. But if at all possible take a vac.
