I like my Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 gloves.

You can find the 2.0 for cheaper, but there were some defect problems in some lots of this version of the glove.

Sevulturus wrote:I have a pair of those in grey and black, they're pretty heavy, and you need to be careful, because the second set of plastic knuckle things don't always sit right, I had to return the right hand glove because I had a sharp peice of plastic digging into the second knuckle of my ring finger bad enough to break skin.

After I got it traded off they were a good pair of gloves. Fairly comfortable, but with a thick palm that somewhat reduced feel/feedback from the throttle. The backs are really heavy and keep my fingers very comfortably warm to about 5 degrees C on the highway, lower then that and I need a second pair of gloves underneath to keep warm.

All in all I'd recomend them as a spring/fall pair. If you live where it's always hot all the time... you might not like them as much.
thanks sev, i'll make sure to not remove the tags before i fit them in case the 2nd set of knuckles have a problem.

Those are teh exact ones I have Jmill :D
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I just got mine, they need to break in but are pretty comfy and warm.

Was out riding in them most of today and it was hovering in the 40s all day, hands did not get too cold.

I also got a pair of joe rocket steel jeans and a pair of set up grand prix boots too. The jeans are actually a tad warmer than regular jeans and the boots are very comfortable to ride in.

I was going to hang on to my old tourmaster mesh gloves for summer riding but my wife has already laid claim to them LOL.

I don't think it is true for all 2.0 gloves, but a pair I had deteriorated badly in the palm area (literally, the leather wore through). When I called Joe Rocket and told them about the problem, they said they had a bad batch of leather in productions. After some arguing, they replaced them with a new set.

I've been looking at the products from this eBay seller. The prices seem reasonable. Still thinking I may want to buy local (despite the increased price) so that I can try everything on first. But anyway, here's the link to their eBay store.... http://stores.ebay.com/NW-IronHorse-Sal ... esstQQtZkm
