very clean machine a little buzzy though watch the bars as well they can hit the tank pretty easily. I personally would wait a year if you like the naked 3/4 litre triumph may be comming out with a speed triple 675 or take a serius look at the sv suzuki they are very nice even though they are only 650

yeah I've seen and sat on the SV, its ok, ugly as sin in my opinion. the FZ6 is the best looking middleweight naked for me, the Z750S is next, then the 599 and then the SV. Then again, were I to have $9000 sitting around ready to go I would already be on a buell lightning cityx9x....

So what is wrong with the FZ6 then? I see used ones for sale all of the time. One of my buddies got an FZ6 for a second bike, it is really cool!

I have heard good things about the Z750S, but haven't tried one, myself. I have heard similar complaints about the bars though.

I have sat on both the Z750 and FZ6. The 750 is and feels like a bigger bike, power is comparable between the two, the 750 will have a lil more low end from the extra ccs.

Im 5'10" and the Z750 felt big and heavy to me, I could not get comfortable on it. The FZ6 felt much lighter and much more comfortable but I didn't feel cramped in any way. The FZ6 felt good enough that it is at the top of my list for my next bike.

For comparison sakes, my current ride weighs more than either of these two and is notoriously top heavy. The Z750 felt heavier and more top heavy than my CX despite being lighter, the FZ6 felt a lot lighter and less top heavy than my CX.

if I could find a buell for the same price as the yami or kawi I would go with it.
sat on the fz6 today, did not look as nice in person as it did onscreen

I kinda thought the FZ looked better in person. I always thought the fairing looked big and clunky in pictures but looks good in person.

The Z750 looks very clean and simple (not a bad thing) both in pictures and in person.

I'd make sure to go check out the 599 too... It is a pretty nice bike. You could also check out bandits, katanas or the ninja 650R if you aren't dead set on a naked bike.

Mashby had a Z750 (non S version). I think he liked it but it wouldn't stand up to the park-behind-the-semi test....... He rides a Suzy now, but he hasn't tested it yet
