problem is the ninja 250 and 500 looks so bad.

and yeah, if only they sell the CBR125 and that RS125 over here. those would have great since they are true sportbikes, am i right? i haven't seen them in person so im not sure from the pics.

what i mean by true is the seating and handle bar position. the ninja 250 and 500, just like the GS500F is just a standard bike w/ sport style fairings.

EDIT: looking closely at the CBR125... it seems that the handle bars are placed higher. so i guess it's not as sporty as i thought it was. but the RS125, now that's really a sportbike.

I will have to check that out. I don't dislike her S40, but I wouldn't recommend one

Problem is - People are more concerned about looks instead of common sense. :| No offense VX, but seriously ...

Don't drool too much

Sure, the aprilia is pretty expensive to start off with, but the build you are considering doing is probably more expensive. Seriously.

Anything can be done ... but usually that "anything" requires piles of $$. It's unfortunate that the smaller CC bikes don't appeal to you, but you must consider that this will be your First bike, not your last. So what if you ride something for a year or two that you don't really like the looks of. You can upgrade to something really hot when you can actually afford it.

that thing looks sweet. For a 125 i wonder what kinda power and what not it has.

see also GS500F, it looks more like a sportbike in person than it does in pictures.

too bad we dont get the CBR250 here. its basically a CBR600 scaled down to 250cc.

thanx all for the input but i may have found a mid sized bike ( just below waist hight) that i may be able to make street legal as a moped or scooter. It has headlights, tailights, turn signals, disk brakes and a working horn. i'm going to talk to my friend about building me a high compression scooter motor (he races them in bermuda and works in a race shop) and a tranny to swap into the smaller bike, and some new street legal wheels and tires, just for something to ride to school and work, not on the highway. also a way to kind of get the feel of riding a bike.

I also may have a line on a :D ducatti 250 :D
