Anyone use a Veypor?

I was looking for a good piece of hardware that would help with tuning. This thing will do cool stuff like track 0-60 times, quarter mile times, estimate horsepower, etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually used one of these, and what their experience is with it.

yeah, except G-tech has a lot of problems with vehicles that aren't cars:

basically you need to be going completely flat.... and the RPM pickup for a g-tech might not even work correctly.

if you use spark plug wires with really good RF supression none of them will work. it picks up RPM by reading the RF interference put off by the ignition system.

the 0-60 and 1/4 mile timers will still work as those operate via an accelerometer

I will eventually put a Vaypor on my fighter, but not untill they come up a water-proof one.

Other than that, it looks like a nice hunka wires.....

How easy is this thing to install? They say it can be moved from bike to bike?

Actually I'm fishing around the 'net and I've seen this before. I hate that it's ~$277 but, it's pretty much the only thing on the market that does all that. Dakota digital with not even half the features are charging $400+.

I would like one of these. Group buy anyone??

I completely forgot about these until I ran across them on webike - Acewell Digital meters.


Now, they don't have all those data logging features that the Veypor does, nor does it have the gear indicator (I really wanted that!), but they are a little bit less than the Veypors, ranging from $119-$199 depending on the model. I especially like the fact that one of the speedo sensor available is the mechanical cable kind that fits in the stock location. Of course, if you like gluing magnets to your rotor or sprocket, you can do that too.

Anyway, electrosport.com sells a few models and I think you may can order directly from Acewell. Just thought I'd drop this info in case anyone is looking
