New and shopping for a bike in Orlando

#1 Unread post by yoda731 »

Hey, folks. I've been reading this forum for a couple of days. Thanks for all the great insights.

Bikes in Orlando

#2 Unread post by safety-boy »

I see a lot of bikes advertised on cycletrader.com in Atlanta - not necessarily anything you are looking for (I tend to hunt for weird old Kawasakis :bag: ).

I ride all year, so envy you S. Fla guys, at least until September... We get the huricanes here in NC, but they have to climb some hills to get to us :-D

What do you ride, or what are you looking for?

Thanks for the note back...

Hey, Dave.

Thanks for the note. I posted under the "New Bikers Forum" that I'm looking at an '83 Honda Sabre. Its on eBayMotors, and is conveniently being sold in Orlando. Per some feedback I got under that post, I went ahead and bid. The auction ends on Wednesday, so I have to twiddle my thumbs for a few days to see if I'll get her. :frusty:

I'm doing the MSF class in a few weeks at Orlando Harley, but I want to get familiary with a bike before that as opposed to going in totally cold. Here's a URL to the bike, FYI. Let me know any thoughts on it (including anything bad, even if I'm already somewhat on the hook by having bid...).

Thanks,
JC

Looks good.

The Sabre looks a lot like the Nighthawk - which is what the majority of bikes were at the MSF in NC.

Can't really go wrong with Honda. I'm a Kawasaki man, but other than that Honda is working on Bike Airbagsa, I've got nothing bad to say about them :-)
